Do not handle any bats that you have found or allow children or pets to come into contact with it. If you do, the bat will have to be destroyed so that it can be tested for rabies.

Rare Sight To See!

The pictures below are of those of a Red-Breasted Sapsucker !

You won't see many of these so Enjoy!

He is perching but has one eye injured and head trauma so we are hoping for the best........

Well we have wonderful news.  After a few days of treatment and recovery, this Sapsucker was eating well and trying hard to escape.

The bird was taken back to RailRoad Flat by the person who brought him and released.  These woodpeckers form monogramous bonds, we wanted to release him back where he may have a mate waiting for him.
